FOSDA condemns the cold blood Murder of the young soldier and call on the Ghana Police to swiftly investigate and bring the perpetuators to book.

We also condemn the reported brutality meted out to citizens of Ashaiman by the military, retaliating the murder of (name). The action of the Military is an outright abuse of power, it's illegal and misplaced in Ghana's democratic dispensation. The military are not a law unto themselves and cannot take the law into their own hands. We are worried that such actions will further deepen mistrust between citizens and the security forces. FOSDA urges the Ghana Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence to ensure the use of democratic processes to address such incidence in future. The Armed Forces must met out the appropriate punishment to all those who permitted and led this this atrocity.
