Evaluative Monitoring of the Second Ghana National Action Plan on UNSCR 1325 (GHANAP 2)
ABOUT MONITORING GHANAP 2 PROJECT
The 'Monitoring GHANAP 2 project' has been specifically designed by FOSDA to ensure that Ghana, through all key stakeholders, significantly implement the current action plan on UNSCR 1325 and achieve the target results to ultimately improve the participation of Women in the Peace and Security Sector. The project is especially premised on the poor implementation of first National Action Plans on UNSCR1325 leading to the abysmal participation and protection of women in peace and security process. This situation happened despite research
Scope of Work: The consultant will:
- Gather information on the implementation of GHANAP 2 from all key stakeholders engaged in GHANAP 2 (in selected areas of Ghana including MMDAs)
- Engage and sensitise key stakeholders on their roles as stipulated in the plan
Expected Outputs / Deliverables
The following deliverables are expected from the Consultant once engaged:
- An inception report including a detailed methodology and work plan for the execution of the assignment.
- A standard monitoring framework for GHANAP 2
- An evaluative Monitoring report.
Period of Consultancy
The consultant will be engaged for a month.
Consultant's Profile
The ideal candidate should have a Monitoring and Evaluation background, with minimum 5 years of experience in the field. She or he must also possess the following qualities, background and experience:
The consultant must have the knowledge and skills below:
- Must have an appreciation of Women, Peace and Security and conventions at International and African levels.
- Must possess strong skills in research methodologies as well as excellent documentation skills.
- Must be fluent in English - both written and oral
- Must have excellent communication skills including writing clear and concise reports.
- Must have experience working in Ghana.
- Must have experience working with Government Institutions.
- Must have cultural awareness and can work well in an environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Sound project management skills and strong ability to meet deadlines and deliverables.
- Strong computer literacy.
