FOSDA Condemns Violence in Parliament.

The Foundation for Security and Development in Africa (FOSDA) unconditionally condemns the violent disagreement that ensued at the Parliament Appointment Committee on Thursday Night. The conduct of the Parliamentarians is unacceptable and detrimental to the country's peace and security.

It is unfortunate that our leaders resort to such Chaos and violence to address conflicting issues.

We are particularly alarmed by the unacceptable violent destruction of public property by the leaders.

Such actions not only undermine the integrity of the parliamentary process and democracy, but inadvertently misguides constituents and followers to resort to violence.

It sets a poor precedent and erodes public trust in elected officials to carry out their duties responsibly.

We urge all members leaders to uphold the standards of decorum and civility expected of their office even in the face of conflict.

We call on the Speaker of Parliament to immediately conduct an investigation into the incident and those responsible held accountable.

FOSDA urges all parties to act responsibly and be conscious of their roles in preserving the peace and security of Ghana as well as examples to the Youth.
